About SnarkyTech
What is SnarkyTech?
The original concept of the SnarkyTech website stemmed after working long hours as a technical support representative. Hours and hours would go by leading me to become exhausted of answering the same issue call after call after call. The shift would drag on, I’d find myself growing increasingly cranky. Anyone that has worked in tech support, knows of these joys that I speak of. Often, I’d think to myself, “wouldn’t it be cool if there were a website where techies could come and gripe together?” However, I soon found out that the site I had “dreamed” of, had already existed– and for quite some time! Instead, I decided to keep the name, SnarkyTech, (hey, I’m a sarcastic person and I still consider myself a tech!) and use it as a blog for writing about the cool things I find on the Internet and the geeky things that I’m passionate about.
Who is SnarkyTech?
My name is Kat. I’m a geeky girl. Geek by choice, education and profession. I have a million different interests and a very short attention span. I am seriously in love with Linux, even though I consider myself to be a newbie (I’m slowly moving up the ranks!). I subscribe to way too many RSS feeds and often suffer from information overload. When my brain isn’t warped, I like to make stuff and work on freelance projects.
If you’re reading this, then you probably already know who I am. If not, feel free to ask questions. :)
